Darlinghurst Police Station is an emotionally charged location, where protesters from the first Mardi Gras in Sydney were wrongfully imprisoned and abused. It has been converted to a museum to celebrate LGBTQIA+ pride and culture. This proposal carefully considers the tangible and intangible heritage of the building to create a space where people can gain understanding of the pain endured by the queer community, express their emotions, and find some relief in the process.
